Corby’s female-led tattoo and piercing studio with a witchy twist.
In Corby town centre, on New Post Office Square, you’ll find Ink Therapy which is a tattoo and piercing studio with a unique and mystical touch. Originally starting at the Corby indoor market, the business outgrew its space, leading to the expansion into a dedicated studio space. This fabulous small business is run by an all-female team, blending artistry, creativity, and a strong sense of sisterhood!
Ang is the proud owner of Ink Therapy, who never imagined she’d have a career in the world of tattoos and piercings. Growing up, she wasn’t a fan, yet now she has 29 piercings and has lost count of her tattoos! Her favourites are the ones she’s designed herself, giving her a sense of pride in her work. Ang has always had a rebellious streak, and that spirit is reflected in her business. She even launched the business while pregnant with her son, proving that determination and passion can make anything possible. With the support of her partner, who plays a key role in both family life and the business, she has created something special.
Ink Therapy is run in partnership with local small business The Witch Within and is home to a selection of mystical and handcrafted items. Viki and Jaimée run the ‘witchy’ side of the business, offering a variety of spell-making, handmade costume jewellery, and mystical objects. The mixture of tattooing, piercing, and witchcraft gifts makes the shop a one-of-a-kind destination in Corby, and of course the girls launched it on Friday 13th!
Ang works alongside talented tattoo artists Ginge and Cerys, who are both creative and skilled. The team takes pride in helping customers refine their ideas, ensuring their tattoos are meaningful and beautifully executed. Tattoos are deeply personal, often representing special moments, memories, or loved ones. Popular choices include memorial pieces and birth flowers, and the team ensures every experience is a comfortable one. One of Ang’s favourite moments was when a 77-year-old walked in for their first-ever tattoo, proving that body art is for everyone!
On the piercing side, Ink Therapy maintains the highest standards, using only needles rather than piercing instruments, alongside quality jewellery in a variety of styles including from subtle metal pieces to sparkles! Cerys, the girly one of the team, loves glittery jewellery, whereas Ang leans toward the simpler designs. Belly piercings remain a hit with teenagers, and nose piercings appeal to all ages. The studio prides itself on being a welcoming and comfortable space, especially for those getting a tattoo or piercing for the first time.
As an all-female team, they understand how daunting the process can be for some people, and they are dedicated to making everyone feel at ease. Their affordability is also a major plus. With set prices for piercings and flexible tattoo pricing based on design complexity, they ensure that quality work is accessible to all, even during challenging times. Word-of-mouth recommendations have been key to their success, as their customers proudly showcase their work.
Ang has poured creativity into every detail of the studio, from branding to the quirky décor. A standout feature is the pink and green cow-print wall, a perfect representation of their style and Cerys’ love for pink and Ang’s love for green! Fun signage and eye-catching window displays make Ink Therapy easy to spot in the town centre.
Looking ahead, Ang plans to develop a new room at the salon that could serve as a spiritual space for tarot readings and additional treatment room. With her drive and ambition, the future of Ink Therapy is bright!
Ink Therapy is open for appointments only on Mondays and on Tuesday to Saturday you can book an appointment and there is some availability for walk-ins for piercings.
