Sugarbush bakery
Welcoming Sugarbush Bakery to Kettering Town Centre!

Market Street in Kettering has just gained another lovely new business with the opening of Sugarbush Bakery, a delightful spot that’s already winning hearts with its homemade treats and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Launched in July by sisters Amy and Alex, Sugarbush Bakery is already known for its delicious brownies which you will find on the counter every day, along with a variety of other bakes and cakes, savoury snacks, lunch, brunch, and a full drinks menu.
We can confirm the brownies are delicious! On our visit, we caught up with Amy who told us:
Alex and I have shared a love of baking, our dad Greg, taught us from a young age, and it was always our dream to have our own bakery one day. Alex is the main baker; she has a real talent and passion for it and loves to try new recipes! I’m more on the business side of things, making sure everything runs smoothly. Dad is also part of the Sugarbush team, we all work so well together with lots of fun along the way, it’s a wild ride!Amy - Sugarbush Bakery
You will always find a tasty range of sweet treats here which include vegan and gluten free options. Our signature brownies always fly off the counter, they come in lots of different flavours. We have perfected them over the years, along with other recipes by testing them out on friends and family, who are always willing to sample our bakes! We love trying new things, and our Biscoff smash pots are doing very well right now.
Along with the sweet stuff, we also do brunch, lunch, savoury snacks, and a variety of coffees and other hot and cold drinks. Our range of iced teas is perfect for warm summer days, and our doorstep sandwiches are very popular. With our outdoor seating area, it’s a great spot to grab a drink or bite to eat and watch the world go by. It’s lovely in the sunshine. We offer takeaway options too if our customers are in a hurry. Everything at Sugarbush Bakery is freshly made with love and care, here on site, and with a family touch.
The story behind the bakery’s name is heart-warming and reflects our dedication to family. It is named after the Sugarbush flower, and a tribute to our late grandfather who was South African. It means King Protea and we both have tattoos of this iconic flower which is a permanent reminder of our grandfather, and the inspiration behind our dream. Our tattoo artist helped us come up with the name for the bakery, it was a lightbulb moment, and lovely for our Nan too, who is a regular customer!
We are committed to supporting other local businesses, and we can often be found popping in to see other businesses in the area with cakes and anything leftover at the end of the day, it’s a lovely community here. We are part of The Yards complex which is brilliant as it is home to lots of independent businesses, and there is always something happening here with events, which helps bring people into the town.
The bakery is a great spot to meet up with friends and loved ones, it’s a friendly atmosphere, and you’ll always get a warm welcome. We have regular customers already and great feedback including a mum who appreciates the comfortable environment for breastfeeding her baby, and a lady who enjoys coming in on her own for lunch or a coffee, something she never thought she’d do until she found us. Everyone is welcome here - we are one big family!
It’s a busy time for us, but we are already thinking ahead to what’s next for the business. We are learning so much, our heads are always buzzing with ideas, and we can’t wait to grow and see where Sugarbush Bakery takes us. It’s so exciting having our own business, especially with it being something we are so passionate about.
Support local, enjoy something sweet, and stop by to meet the team at Sugarbush Bakery. It’s open from 9:30am to 2:30pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.
