Let’s go to Wellingborough for the next episode of Talk of the Town, our video series that shows you round the wonderful towns in North Northamptonshire and introduces you to some of the brilliant small businesses in the area.

You’ll hear from Kerry in this episode, the fantastic owner of refill and eco-friendly shop, Food for Thought at Nene Court Emporium which is well worth a visit because it is home to a variety of unique independent businesses. Cristina from Wine Chateau in the town centre also tells us how the experience of shopping local sets it apart from shopping online and with big national brands. Wellingborough is brimming with history with roots that can be traced back to medieval times. Charming buildings house an array of places to shop, eat out, treat and pamper yourself.

The culinary scene is great with plenty of cafés and eateries with a diverse range of food and drink to choose from, and there are lots of independently run businesses in the town and surrounding areas, each with their own unique offer.

There is a strong sense of community in Wellingborough with regular events and initiatives led by Wellingborough Town Council including markets, seasonal fairs, music events and more! Something for all the family. There’s free parking available too!
