Village Design Statements

Village Design Statements (VDS) are prepared by local people to provide more detailed guidance on the design of new developments in their town or village. When adopted by the council as a Supplementary Planning Document (previously Supplementary Planning Guidance) a VDS may be taken into account as a 'material consideration' when determining planning applications.
