North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Northamptonshire Council (Kettering Road, Weldon) (Prohibition of right turns) Order 2026

North Northamptonshire Council, in exercise of their powers, propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit any vehicle from turning right when exiting Corby Household Recycling Centre on to Kettering Road Weldon.

The proposed restriction is intended to improve road safety and reduce congestion.

Section 1 of the “Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984” states that the traffic authority may make an Order under this section where it appears to the authority making the Order that it is expedient to make it:

• improve road safety
• improve the amenity of the area
