North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
North Northamptonshire County Council (Corby District) (Waiting and loading restrictions and on-street parking places) (Consolidation) Order 2009 (Amendment No. 26) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that North Northamptonshire Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35 to 39 and 45 to 55 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend “The Northamptonshire County Council (Corby District) (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and On-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2009” (now vested in North Northamptonshire Council) as specified in the Draft Order and the Schedule to the Order (The on-street Plans (maps)) and detailed in the Schedule below.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the exact lengths of roads to which it relates and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be found on our website. The documents may also be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX, by appointment only. To arrange an appointment, please telephone 01604 529700.
Making representations or objections - Any person wishing to object to, support, or make representations regarding the proposed Order must do so in writing, stating the grounds for their objection or representation, to the Traffic Orders Section, Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northamptonshire, NN6 9BX or by email to: [email protected] - Deadline for responses is 18 December 2025.

Introduction of No Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines), George Street, Corby - Introduce No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow lines) for a distance of 7 metres in a south-east direction from the Cottingham Road roundabout, replacing the existing time-limited waiting bay (Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, 30 minutes, no return within 90 minutes).

Removal of Time-Limited Waiting Bay, George Street, Corby - Remove 7 metres of the marked time-limited waiting bay (Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, 30 minutes, no return within 90 minutes) in a south-east direction from the Cottingham Road roundabout, to be replaced with No Waiting at Any Time, as detailed in Schedule 1.

Removal of No Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines), George Street, Corby - Remove lengths of No Waiting at Any Time (double yellow lines) measuring 3.45 metres and 3.80 metres respectively to facilitate new pedestrian tactile crossing points on both sides of the central reservation at the Cottingham Road roundabout.
