Repairs - Gas leaks and carbon monoxide
You should contact Cadent on 0800 111 999 in the event of a gas leak or if you suspect carbon monoxide is coming from an appliance.
We will investigate and carry out repairs after they have made safe, if it's needed.
Gas leaks
- Extinguish all naked flames
- Don't touch electrical switches or plugs
- Open all windows and doors in suspect rooms
- Turn off the gas at the meter
- Open main entry doors (including flats - open doors manually and don’t use the intercom)
- Contact Cadent and they will respond urgently - you should let us know after contacting them
- Contain any pets when the engineer arrives
Carbon monoxide
- If medically unwell vacate premises and seek medical advice from GP
- Turn off the appliance where CO is suspected to be coming from
- Turn off the gas supply via the control valve located at the meter
- Open all windows and doors and vacate the room
- Contact Cadent and they will respond urgently - you should let us know after contacting them
- Contain any pets when the engineer arrives
