Warm Homes Local Grant
The Warm Homes Local Grant is a government-funded scheme that's delivered by us as part of the Warm Homes Plan.
You could get free energy saving improvements made to your home if you’re on a low income, getting certain benefits or living in a certain postcode area.
Upgrades are open to all fuel types, including households heated by mains gas, as well as those heated by electricity, oil, coal, or liquid petroleum gas.
Improvements
Energy performance upgrades and low carbon heating improvements could include:
- wall, loft and underfloor insulation
- air source heat pumps
- smart controls
- solar panels
Eligibility
To be eligible, your home must:
- be privately owned (either by you or your landlord)
- have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of D, E, F or G (if you don't know your home’s EPC, you can find it out when you apply)
Your household income must usually be £36,000 a year or less. If you earn more than that, you might still be eligible if either:
- you live in a certain postcode area
- someone in your household is getting certain benefits
