Apply for a boat licence
Licensing applies to all pieces of water in East Northamptonshire where boats are available for hire by members of the public.
The licence covers pleasure boats and pleasure vessels to be let for hire or used for carrying up to 12 passengers.

You will need a copy of your:
- public liability insurance
- handover procedure
- environment agency registration
- hiring terms and conditions

A licence lasts for a period of 12 months. Renewal licence applications should be submitted a month in advance of a current licence expiry.
