North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The North Northamptonshire Council (Station Road Area, Rushton) (20 mph and 30 mph speed limits) Order 20XX

North Northamptonshire Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Sections 82, 83, and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement
1. This Order may be cited as “The North Northamptonshire Council (Station Road Area Rushton) (20 mph and 30 mph Speed Limits) Order 202X and shall come into force on [Insert date]

Restriction
2. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on any part of those roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.

3. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on any part of those roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.

Revocations
4. All existing speed limit Orders made by West Northamptonshire Council or its predecessor authorities under the provisions of the Act or any earlier legislation, insofar as they apply to the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Order, are hereby revoked.

Exemptions
5. Nothing in Article 2 shall apply to any vehicle falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011, when used in accordance with Regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

6. Execution
