Adult social care: you said, we did

We are committed to listening to people who use Adult Social Care services, unpaid carers, family members, partners and staff.

We use feedback to improve our services and shape how we work. Feedback is gathered through events, workshops, surveys, feedback forms and co-production activities.

Your feedback helps us improve Adult Social Care services. This page highlights some of the changes we have made in response to what people have told us.

"We want more opportunities to influence decisions"

We did: Expanded our co-production programme and involved more people with lived experience in projects, service reviews, staff recruitment, training and policy development. We have set up our Together for Care Forum, which is a regular meeting for people to come along and share their views. This ensures people's experiences help shape decisions from the beginning, rather than after decisions have been made.

"It's not always clear what happens to the feedback we give"

We did: We are developing a new approach to bringing together feedback, compliments, complaints and co-production insights. This will be involving people who have shared their feedback with us, so that you know what we are doing to make things better. We are sharing examples like these to show how feedback is influencing change and improving services.

"It's hard to find out what Adult Social Care does and understand the different teams"

We did: We carried out usability testing on our Adult Social Care webpages. Feedback showed that people found it difficult to understand what Adult Social Care does and the role of different teams. In response, we created two new webpages and updated the Contact Adult Social Care page to explain what each team does and how to get in touch.
