What can be recycled at our HWRCs
Our HWRCs accept a wide range of recyclable materials - any waste that cannot be recycled or is not sorted for recycling will be sent to landfill

Asbestos disposal
Asbestos and asbestos bonded materials cannot be disposed of at any of our recycling centres
Battery disposal
Batteries must be disposed of in battery recycling points at HWRCs or shops and supermarkets
Hazardous waste
Hazardous waste is any liquid or solid material that could cause harm to people or the environment if not disposed of correctly
Household chemical disposal
Our HWRCs offer safe disposal of small quantities of hazardous household chemicals
Plasterboard disposal
We have plasterboard recycling facilities at all of our centres
