North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Northamptonshire Council (Station Road, Earls Barton) (40 miles per hour speed limit) Order 20XX

North Northamptonshire Council (“the council”), in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:

1. Citation and Commencement
This Order may be cited as the “North Northamptonshire Council (Station Road, Earls Barton) Order 2026” and shall come into operation on XXXX.

2. Speed Restriction
No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on any length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.

3. Revocations
Any previous Speed Limit Orders made by North Northamptonshire Council or its predecessor authorities, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order, are hereby revoked.

4. Exemptions
Nothing in Article 2 shall apply to any vehicle falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with Regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

5. Execution

Executed as a deed by affixing the common seal of North Northamptonshire Council on the XXX day of XXX in the presence of:
