Statement of reasons

Proposed no waiting at any time restrictions – P2127 (Station Road A6 Irthlingborough)

Proposed extension of the existing double yellow line waiting restrictions on Station Road and Diamond Way. The extension is required to prevent parking within the immediate vicinity of the proposed signalised junction.

The restrictions will ensure that vehicles are not parked close to the junction, maintaining adequate visibility and allowing vehicles to enter and exit Station Road safely.

For the purposes of the Traffic Regulation Order and in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the proposals below are required in order to;

Facilitate the passage on the road for any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

Avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road.

Improve parking amenities for local businesses, residents and visitors.
