Statement of Reasons

Annual Waiting Restriction Review - P2119 (Wellingborough 24/25)

Each year, North Northamptonshire Council carries out a review of waiting restrictions to ensure existing parking restrictions remain relevant and to identify new locations where the introduction of controls to waiting and loading would be beneficial in terms of improving road safety or meeting other strategic targets.

For the purposes of the Traffic Regulation Order and in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the proposals below are required in order to:

• facilitate the passage on the road for any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
• avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road
• improve parking amenities for local businesses, residents and visitors
