Statement of community involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) relates to any consultation and engagement activities the council will undertake as part of the plan making process, as well as for all planning applications that are submitted to the council, including Minerals & Waste Planning matters. It also sets out the advice and assistance that the council will provide to communities in relation to Neighbourhood Plans and Neighbourhood Development Orders.

The SCI was approved by Executive on 14 October 2025. It replaces the previous version adopted by the council on 28 July 2022.
