Gambling premises licence
A gambling premises licence allows you to run a gambling based business to cover a:
- adult gaming centre
- arcade
- betting shop
- bingo hall
- family entertainment centre
- large, regional or small casinos

Apply
To apply you must:
- be over the age of 18
- have the right to occupy the premises
- hold or applied for an operating licence from the Gambling Commission
You need to:
- have a plan of the premises
- send the notice of application to all responsible authorities within 7 days

Payment
Once you have completed your application form please pay the application fee. Your application will only be processed once we are in receipt of your application and payment.
Next steps
Once your application has been accepted you will need to:
- publish a notice of application in a local newspaper within 10 working days
- publicly display a notice of application on the premises for 28 days
Responsible authority offices are able to comment, give advice and make an objection on your application. If an objection is made the application will be heard by our licensing committee within 20 working days of the end of the consultation period.

If an objection is made you may appeal against the decision. Appeals must be made to the local Magistrates' court within 21 days of the date we notified you. Please see address below:

Changes
Changes can be made to:
- vary a permit
- transfer a permit
- change name or address
- replace a permit - left or loss
