Hedges and other vegetation
Bushes and vegetation often can't be cut back due to the bird nesting season (between March and August) so we mostly carry out work from September to January.
Private properties
If vegetation from a private garden is overhanging or blocking a road or pavement, our Highways team have the power to make landowners cut back vegetation.
Public land
If the bush is on public land and overgrowing, you can report it and our Grounds Maintenance teams will investigate in most areas.
In the East Northamptonshire area, this need to be reported to the town or parish council (including parks and open spaces).
