Hedges and other vegetation
Bushes and vegetation often can't be cut back due to the bird nesting season (between March and August) so we mostly carry out work from September to January.
Private properties
If vegetation from a private garden is overhanging or blocking a road or pavement, our Highways team have the power to make landowners cut back vegetation.
Public land
Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough area
Our Grounds Maintenance teams investigate reports of overgrown hedges and other vegetation on public land in most locations within the Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough areas.

Areas outside Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough
For many areas outside Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, town and parish councils are responsible for managing hedges and vegetation in parks, open spaces and other land under their control.
