LEVI community engagement and council decisions
The council and Connected Kerb are engaging with communities, local councillors, and town and parish councils as plans for new EV infrastructure comes forward. An interactive map showing proposed and confirmed sites can be viewed on Connected Kerb’s community page for North Northamptonshire. More sites will be added as the project progresses.
Households and businesses close to proposed new EV chargepoint sites will receive a postcard. This is to alert you about plans and how to provide feedback. Local knowledge is particularly important to identify constraints which we may not be aware of. Keep an eye out for a postcard like this!
Please note that we do not intend to introduce EV only parking restrictions, in the immediate term, where new sites are on-street next to homes. This may be a consideration in future years as demand grows. Any application would be subject to a separate consultation in accordance with Traffic Regulation Order procedures.
