Tenant involvement

We want tenants to help us shape our housing service by getting involved. You choose how you can get involved and how much time you can offer.

Your feedback and ideas helps us get things right. Even if you have had a negative experience, telling us about it helps us improve our services for others.

Panels and groups

Help us make sure our priorities match yours by joining our:

  • tenant advisory panel - meets every third Thursday of the month, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm to review performance, policies and new initiatives with a guest speaker (lunch and travel expenses provided)
  • tenant scrutiny group - ensures the quality of services, they conduct regular reviews and make recommendations for improvements
  • focus groups - from time to time we host 1-hour sessions with a group of 6 to 10 tenants to ask your opinions
  • meetings and conferences - get involved in events, meet ups, conferences, networking or training events
  • representing tenants locally and nationally - act of behalf of all tenants, for example in our sheltered housing or on a particular estate

If you want to join one of our panels or groups, complete our registration form and let us know what interests you.

Neighbourhood associations

Neighbourhood associations are a great way to improve your area on an ongoing basis. You can apply for funding and set up a formal group.

Small grants are available to neighbourhood associations as well as tenant and resident associations. You can also get support with training your committee, fundraising, meetings and more.

Sheltered accommodation

We want to know your views on what would work best for you and what interests you.

We sent a short questionnaire to every sheltered tenant at the end of 2023. Now that we have collected your ideas, we will plan a consultation event for early 2024 to start the conversation and get things moving.

Estate walkabouts

Estate walkabouts take place on a quarterly basis and give tenants the opportunity to come along and let us know about any issues or areas of concern (e.g fly-tipping or graffiti).

They are coordinated by your Neighbourhood team.

Tell us what you think

Become involved from the comfort of your own home, at a time that is convenient for you.

  • surveys - we send out surveys regularly, including the annual STAR Survey
  • editorial panel - help us check documents and information we produce to make sure they are factual, relevant and easy to read
  • mystery shopping - help us check the quality of our services by posing as a customer and reporting back on how you were dealt with by staff, including over the phone
  • online meetings - many meetings can be attended from home
