More suitable properties instead of adaptations
Sometimes, when major adaptations are needed, it may be more appropriate to consider moving you and your household to accommodation which would better suit your needs, including:
- when a tenant and any family members are under-occupying their home
- if the property can't be adapted for your needs
- when it is clear that the adaptation will not suit your longer-term health needs
We will never force you to move. But we do feel it's important that you consider your immediate and longer-term future needs before works proceed.
If you agree to be transferred, we will help you through the process and could provide financial support to cover some costs (e.g. removals, disconnecting and reconnecting cookers, etc).
