Stock condition surveys

We need to visit council properties every 5 years to carry out a stock condition survey.

This records and assesses the age, condition and remaining lifespan of the key areas of your property including your:

  • roof
  • doors and windows
  • kitchen
  • bathroom
  • heating
Planning work

We carry out these surveys so we can understand the condition of our housing stock and plan future work - this means we know when to replace key items in property, such as your front door or your kitchen, and improve your home

You need to allow reasonable access to the property as part of your tenancy. Properties without a survey may not be included in future replacement programmes.

Our surveyors may also visit unannounced. All of our staff carry photo ID for your security. If you are in any doubt, ask them to wait outside while you confirm their identity on the phone numbers above.
