What goes in which bin
Food waste
We operate a food waste service in the Corby and East Northamptonshire areas.
We accept:
- cooking oil and fats (soak oils into newspapers)
- eggshells
- fruit and vegetable peelings
- nutshells
- raw or cooked meat and fish (including bones)
- leftover food
- teabags and coffee grounds.
Liners
You can use liners to keep your food caddy clean. Please ensure they are fully biodegradable and marked as meeting the European standard for compostable packaging (EN13432). You can also line them with newspaper.
We don't accept:
- garden waste
- non-food products
- packaging
- plastic bags.
