New, replacement or damaged bins
Due to global issues affecting plastic production, there may be delays in supplying wheelie bins. Delivery times are currently longer than usual, and exact timeframes cannot be confirmed.
Bins will be delivered as soon as stock is available, with priority given to new build properties without bins. If you have already made a request, there is no need to submit another.
Repairs, replacements, removals and cleaning
We will repair or replace bins free of charge if they are damaged by our staff or equipment.
The size of bin provided might not be a like-for-like replacement, and intentionally damaged or destroyed bin replacements are chargeable, as per fees and charges. If a charge is made for a replacement bin, a new bin will not be provided until proof of payment is received.
Damaged bins will be fixed where possible, containers will not be replaced if they are in a usable condition - in line with waste policy we may provide used or refurbished bins or alternative containment in the form of sacks. Where reporting damaged bin please provide specific damage information with photos where possible. You need to leave the damaged bin out, otherwise we won't be able to repair or replace it.
Where bins are damaged or missing lids, due to the range of bins in circulation, if possible please provide a photo of the bin and the damaged area, with your bin request form reference number to [email protected], and we will try to match bins to parts for repair.
If bin is missing a lid, until we are able to replace the lid, please ensure:
- recycling is contained in clear sacks within the bin to keep it dry
- residual household waste is bagged in you black bins
- to contact us if you need these providing
You can also request we remove a bin - anyone seeking removal of bins must provide evidence of payment of the removal fee before it will be removed. 2026-27 fee is £38.25 - as per fees and charges.
We do not offer a cleaning service for bins. Private companies may offer this service.
Missing bins
If a bin has been lost or stolen, let us know so that we can replace it.
New builds
You can order bins if you are moving to a property that doesn’t have a full set of bins yet. Do not order bins until you have moved into the property, you may be charged if bins ordered prior to move in are delivered and are then not present at the property on move in.
As we are unable to commit to a delivery timeframe, we will deliver bins as soon as we can, until bins are delivered you will be able to present your waste kerbside in the following:
- Being a maximum of four sacks per collection
- Recycling is contained in clear sacks, or disposable (cardboard) box, which will not be returned
- Residual household waste is in black bags
