DSL forum and safeguarding training opportunities for education settings

Training dates 2025

Initial DSL training (schools and colleges)

All-day course for newly appointed Designated Safeguarding Leads.

Delivered as a face-to-face session, delegates will discuss and cover:

• the roles and responsibilities of the DSL
• statutory guidance that informs the DSL role
• different forms of abuse
• how to recognise and respond to concerns

• Wednesday 4 June 2025 (9:15am to 4:30pm)

Location: Moulton Community Centre, Northamptonshire

Cost: £150 per delegate (your setting will be invoiced for the advertised cost of the course) 

Refresher DSL training (schools and colleges)

One-day face-to-face course designed for experienced DSLs or DDSLs who have already completed an initial DSL course.

Fulfils your statutory duty to update your training every 2 years in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
