Designated Safeguarding Lead Forum
Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) meet at this forum to discuss latest safeguarding and schools information. Other parties, such the Police, attend as needed.

Initial DSL training (schools and colleges)
All-day course for newly appointed Designated Safeguarding Leads.
Delivered as a face-to-face session, delegates will discuss and cover:
- the roles and responsibilities of the DSL
- statutory guidance that informs the DSL role
- different forms of abuse
- how to recognise and respond to concerns

Refresher DSL training (schools and colleges)
One-day face-to-face course designed for experienced DSLs or DDSLs who have already completed an initial DSL course.
Fulfils your statutory duty to update your training every 2 years in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
