North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Northamptonshire Council (Gretton Road, Priors Hall Area, Corby) (20 mph and 30 mph speed limit) Order 20XX

North Northamptonshire Council in exercise of their powers under Section 82, 83, and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as “North Northamptonshire Council (Gretton Road, Priors Hall Area, Corby) (20 mph and 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 20XX” and shall come into force on XXXXXXX.
  2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 mph along that length of road as specified in Schedule 1 to this Order.
  3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph along that length of road as specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.
  4. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3 (5) of those regulations.
  5. All existing speed limit orders made by West Northamptonshire Council or by its predecessor authorities under the provisions of the 1984 Act or under earlier legislation, that relates to the length of road as specified in the Schedules below, are hereby revoked but only in so far as the restrictions imposed by this Order apply.
