A summer of activities and events for the whole family in North Northamptonshire

There is something for everyone lined up this summer: From fun activities, sports camps and teen-only sessions to a printed activity journal and countryside walks.
Look out for free or low-cost activities, which can make it easier for families to take part and enjoy an active summer together, all brought to you from North Northants council.
Summer holiday events and activities include:
- The Xplorer Challenge: A fun and FREE navigational task in the park that’s both educational and fun. Taking place from Monday 20 July to Wed 29 July. Please check our web page for times and locations.
- Active Families Fun Days: FREE and enjoyable for all ages, these sessions include fun movement, crafts and art. A host of free activities will include: climbing walls, trampolines, mini golf, soft play, inflatable penalty shoot-out, water tattoos, clay making and local sports club tasters. There will also be lots of stalls where organisations and partners will be promoting the services they can offer families. The Active Families Fun Days will run every Wednesday throughout August, from 12 noon to 4pm. Visit our website for venue details.
- The Movement and Explorer Journal: a fun, jungle-themed printed journal packed with activities to keep children entertained all summer. Whether they’re feeling energetic or in the mood for something calmer, our handy journal is designed to inspire kids to stay active, creative and mindful during the school holidays. Pick up a copy of the FREE journal from your nearest North Northamptonshire library.
- Good Vibes Only – teen wellbeing and mindfulness days: A calming and creative 4-hour retreat for teens aged 12 to 16. Limited spaces are available at various locations across North Northants. You can find locations and booking details on our website.
- Silent Discos: 45 minutes of fun and feel-good vibes, for children aged 8 to 12 years. Book your child’s place for just £3. Various locations.
- Active Play and Bounce: drop-in sessions with bikes, trikes, bouncing and climbing.
- Racket sports: Tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, and pickleball - book in advance or pay and play.
- Sports: keep your children active with a range of summer sports sessions, from teen-fit sessions to engaging holiday clubs and family golf.
- Swimming: all ages and abilities can enjoy our aquatics sessions, from family splash time to learn to swim or dive.
- Walks: explore the Corby heritage trail or try an interactive family walk with a downloadable app that will guide and entertain you. Pack a picnic and step out into our stunning parks and open spaces. Will you find a tree fairy, stumble into a dinosaur footprint or hunt out mini beasts? Get prepared by visiting our website.
