Get Up and Go

Get Up and Go is part of a countywide falls prevention programme providing strength and balance exercise classes for older adults or those who have a fear of falling, had a fall or are at risk of falling.

Exercise classes help to improve strength, balance, mobility and confidence and are delivered by OTAGO exercise programme qualified instructors to help:

  • reduce falls and injury
  • improve balance and strength
  • improve ability to complete everyday tasks
  • increase stamina
  • improve mood, confidence and independence

Sessions

Get Up and Go activity sessions consist of a minimum of a 24 week programme prescribed and are delivered by qualified OTAGO Exercise trained instructors.
