Statement of reasons - Waiting restriction review - P2071 (Corby)

To implement a change to the existing double yellow lines implemented in 2024. Residents and elected officials requested a review of the lines to attempt to improve parking options. Consideration has been given to reduce the total length of double yellow lines and move a section of them to the opposite side of the road.

For the purposes of the Traffic Regulation Order and in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the proposals below are required in order to;

• Facilitate the passage on the road for any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
• Avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road.
• Improve parking amenities for local residents and visitors.
