Statement of reasons

North Northamptonshire Council are proposing to make an Order to introduce a 30-mph speed limit in the location as indicated below and detailed in the Draft Order.

For the purposes of the traffic regulation Order and in accordance with Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the proposal is required in order:
- Road Safety and to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and to prevent the likelihood of any such danger arising
- To improve the amenity of the area
