North Northamptonshire Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Northamptonshire Council (Mill Lane, Cottingham) (30 mph speed limit) Order 20XX

North Northamptonshire Council in exercise of their powers under Sections 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as “North Northamptonshire Council (Mill Lane Cottingham) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 20XX” and shall come into force xx xxxx.
2. Under the provisions of Section 82(2) of the 1984 Act, it is hereby directed that the length of road as specified in the schedule below shall be a restricted road for the purposes of Section 81 of that Act, whereby no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph along the length of roads as specified in the Schedule to this Order.
3. All existing speed limit orders made by West Northamptonshire Council or by its predecessor authorities under the provisions of the 1984 Act or under earlier legislation, that relates to the length of road as specified in the Schedule below, are hereby revoked.
4. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3 (5) of those
