Active parks

Our Active Parks project works in partnership with Northamptonshire Public Health to help more of the county’s residents to take part in activities to improve their physical and mental health.

Activities

Come and join us in our parks for a range of fun and healthy outdoor activities designed for young people, families, and adults — a great way to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and try something new.

McHadson's Learning with Nature

Led by our experienced Education Ranger, McHadson’s Learning with Nature is a fun, interactive, weekly held session where children aged 5 to 12 years are encouraged to explore, question and learn using the park’s natural materials and surroundings

Nature tots

Our Nature Tots groups are an ideal introduction for 2 to 4 year olds to nature and the great outdoors. During each 1.5 hour session our Education Ranger leads a short walk in the park exploring a different nature based theme and seasonal craft activity

Bespoke activities

If you work with people with long-term health conditions or another group of people who would benefit from getting out and about in our parks please get in touch. As well as our public activity sessions we are able to work with you to provide bespoke activities in the parks that would meet the needs of your groups.

Working with you we can modify one of our established sessions, create something completely new or even just be a new place to host one of your normal group sessions.

To discuss how we can help, please email [email protected].
