The Executive

The Executive is the principal decision making body of the council.

The Executive is chaired by the Leader of Council and has 8 Executive Members with portfolio responsibilities:

• Councillor Martin Griffiths - (Chair) Leader of the Council
• Councillor Graham Cheatley - Deputy Leader of the Council: Finance, Efficiency, Change and Assets
• Councillor Chris Kellett - Adults and Health Partnerships
• Councillor Brian Benneyworth - Housing, Health and Leisure
• Councillor Elizabeth Wright - Children, Education and Families
• Councillor Chris McGiffen - Highways and Travel, Waste, Environmental Services and Country Parks
• Councillor Jan O'Hara - Planning and Economic Growth
• Councillor Kirk Harrison - Regulatory Services, Climate and Sustainability and Corporate Enforcement
• Councillor Gregory Wilcox - Communities and Rural Affairs
