Flooding

For your safety, please do not enter cordoned areas, deep or fast flowing water.

Kingfisher café and visitor centre

Stop by the visitor centre for free activity sheets for kids, along with skulls, feely boxes, and nature games. Afterwards, enjoy the view from the Kingfisher Cafe’s lakeside deck. If you're lucky, you might spot one of the park's kingfishers.

Opening times

The café is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The café is closed on 24 and 25 December and 1 January. The café closes at 2pm on 26 December.

The toilets are open daily from:

  • April to October: 9am to 4:30pm
  • November to March: 9am to 4pm

Trails

Explore our interactive Dinosaur safari walk.

  • Lakeside stroll - follow the 0.4km yellow route (allow 15 minutes), hard surfaced
  • Kingfisher nature trail - follow the 0.8km red route (allow 30 minutes), hard surfaced
  • Riverside walk - follow the 1.6km black route (allow 45 minutes), mostly hard surface paths, sections of sand, boardwalks and grassland meadow

BBQs

BBQs are currently banned due to the risk of fire.

Dog walking

We provide a pleasant dog friendly environment with areas where your dog is allowed off a lead (under control). Dogs are not permitted in the play area.
