Holiday activities and food funding
HAF funding stands for Holiday Activities and Food funding.
It is money provided by the Department for Education to local councils in England to help children from low-income families access free activities and healthy meals during school holidays.
The funding is used to provide:
- free holiday clubs and activities
- healthy food and meals
- sports, arts, and enrichment activities
- support for children's wellbeing and development during school breaks
The programme is mainly aimed at children who receive benefit-related free school meals, although councils can sometimes use a small portion of the funding to support other children who would benefit.

Good Vibes Only - Teen Wellbeing and Mindfulness Days
Free sessions delivered by the North Northamptonshire Active Communities team, at various locations across North Northamptonshire.
A calming and creative 4-hour retreat for teens aged 12 to 16. Each session features yoga, journaling, mindful crafts, and space to unwind in a friendly and supportive setting. Held weekly in different North Northants locations.

Sport camps
North Northants Leisure are working closely with local sports organisations to provide unique and exciting sporting opportunities for children and young people aged 8-14 in North Northamptonshire.
Sessions are delivered by qualified coaches and youth athletes who are participating at a top level! This is a great opportunity for children and young people to be exposed to new opportunities and have fun.
Bring plenty of water and wear suitable clothing for engaging in physical activity. Sports camps will take place on grass, athletics track or AstroTurf, so please bear wear footwear appropriate for these ground types.
