Supporting the Queen’s Green Canopy

Following the wishes of His Majesty The King, The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative was extended until the end of March 2023. 

We were proud to support this initiative and invited our communities to plant a tree in memory of Her Majesty, the Queen.

Ancient woodlands

The Queen’s Green Canopy dedicated a network of 70 ancient woodlands across the United Kingdom and identified 70 ancient trees to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.

Planting advice

Planting season takes place from October 2022 to March 2023. Town and parish councils were encouraged to plant trees, and schools, community groups and clubs were invited to apply for free saplings from the Woodland Trust.
