North Northamptonshire Council is inviting residents and stakeholders to submit their views on the Rothwell Neighbourhood Plan.

A public consultation has now launched and will run for 6 weeks and is inviting formal representations on the draft plan.

The Neighbourhood Plan for Rothwell will be a key document in the determination of planning applications for the town. It also provides local detail to support wider development policies contained in the North Northants Joint Core Strategy and the Kettering Site Specific Part 2 Local Plan. The draft Neighbourhood Plan, supporting documents and details of how to respond are available on the council’s consultation hub.

It is important that local, rural communities across North Northamptonshire help shape where they live as they have a keen understanding of their area.

With this in mind, I would encourage residents to come forward and have their say to help us to shape the Rothwell Neighbourhood Plan.
Cllr Jan O’Hara, the council’s Executive Member for Planning and Economic Growth

Once the consultation has closed, the Plan will go for examination before a referendum is held to seek its adoption.

The consultation will run until 7 June 2026 and is now available online. Anyone who requires the document in an alternative format can email [email protected]
