North Northamptonshire Council launched the competition, in the build up to Christmas, which asked people aged between four and 16 years old to create a festive scene of their favourite place in North Northamptonshire.
The judges praised the high standard of entries and said that choosing the best designs proved a very difficult task.
Top prize of a £50 voucher, and a framed print of their entry, went to the overall winner Ava, from Thrapston, for her wonderful drawing of the Nine Arches Bridge featuring lots of festive additions.
The winner in the Reception to Year 2 category was Sophie, from Oundle, for her drawing of a snowy Barnwell Country Park, and in the Year 3 to Year 6 category Haiden for his festive drawing of Croyland Park in Wellingborough.
Anastasia, from Wellingborough, won in the Year 7 to Year 11 category, for her striking Christmas tree adorning Wellingborough High Street.
Sophie, Haiden, and Anastasia each received vouchers worth £20.
We had so many wonderful, and varied, entries which really showed how creative young people in North Northamptonshire are. Picking the winners was very challenging, but huge congratulations to Ava, Sophie, Haiden, and Anastasia. I’d like to thank everyone who entered the competition and shared their festive scenes with us. It definitely helped us get in the Christmas spirit.Cllr Elizabeth Wright, Executive Member for Children, Families and Education, at North Northamptonshire Council
We loved seeing the designs featuring festive scenes from some of the unique and interesting places around North Northamptonshire, and it shows that young people have a lot of pride in where they live. There were lots of colourful entries and it was lovely to be able to see the work that had gone into creating such fantastic artwork. Well done to everyone who entered, and thank you to our panel of judges.Cllr Martin Griffiths, Leader of North Northamptonshire Council
There will be a separate presentation to Haiden at his school on Friday.
