Update on works taking place on Pytchley Road, Kettering

North Northamptonshire Council would like to provide clarity on the dates for resurfacing works taking place along Pytchley Road, Kettering.

Kerb replacement works have started this week (from Monday 20 July) in the area, ahead of resurfacing works starting from next week.

All works along Pytchley Road will be completed by Tuesday 18 August as below:

• Road closures for resurfacing from Saturday 25 July to Tuesday 11 August - Monday to Friday only (9:30am - 3:30pm)
• Closures from Wednesday 12 August to Tuesday 18 August (including weekend closure) between the hours of 9:30am - 3:30pm and overnight from 8pm - 6am.

The works taking place from 12 - 18 August will involve road markings, high friction surfacing, ironwork adjustments and replacements and gully cleansing.

Work will be completed in phases and North Northamptonshire Council are working with local bus companies to minimise disruption on bus routes.

Due to high traffic volumes and its proximity to Wicksteed Park, the works are being carefully managed. Advance signage and diversion routes will be in place, including guidance for visitors using alternative routes where needed.

We would like to sincerely apologise for any confusion caused regarding the roadworks on Pytchley Road in Kettering.

This is a busy and key route, it is important that we continue to repair and improve as many routes as we can with the record investment this and next year.

Previous communications on the works stated that works would take place from 25 July - 21 August - all works will now be complete by Tuesday 18 August.
