Update on seventh round of Household Support Fund

Ahead of the ending of the Household Support Fund by central government, applications for the scheme in North Northamptonshire will be closing.
The final round of the UK Government’s Household Support Fund (HSF), worth £4,345,356, million is being administered by North Northamptonshire Council.
Following a large volume of interest, applications for Wider Essential Support and Winter Energy Support will both close before the end of January. This is due to the number of outstanding applications which need to be assessed before the national deadline.
- Applications for Wider Essential Support will be closing Friday 23 January 2026 with over 3,938 applications so far.
- Applications for Winter Energy Support will be closing Friday 30 January 2026 with over 490 applications so far.

Although the scheme may be closing, we remain committed to supporting those most in need with details of other cost of living support available on our website.
The UK’s Government’s Household Support Fund will be ending on 31 March. It will be replaced by a new fund, announced in last year’s budget, called the Crisis and Resilience Fund. This will replace HSF and there are more details on the central government website.
