Communities across North Northamptonshire will come together in Remembrance this month, to honor those who have served and remember their sacrifice.

Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

Across the area, representatives from the council will join together with members of the Armed Forces and communities to remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

There are a number of services taking place across North Northamptonshire and further information on events near you are available.

On Monday 11 November, staff from across the council will be observing the traditional two-minute silence at 11am with members of the council’s newly formed Armed Forces staff network also taking part in a service at the war memorial in Kettering.

It is so important that we come together and remember those who have sacrificed their lives as a result of conflict.

It is always an honor to join with members of the Armed Forces to pause and reflect - something we often forget to do in the busy, modern world.
