North Northamptonshire due to host inaugural Youth Summit

North Northamptonshire Council is hosting its first ever Youth Summit, hosted by the Youth Advisory Council in partnership with Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire (CYPN), East Northants Young Ambassadors, and Free2Talk.
The event is due to take place on Monday 6 October 2025 at the Corby Cube, and has been designed by young people, for young people. Events on the day will include opening speeches by elected Members of Youth Parliament, followed by performances and debates on key topics, as well as interactive stalls, workshops and a special podcast project by Free2Talk.
In addition to the organisers, other partner organisations from across North Northamptonshire will be attending and supporting the event, including local sports teams and clubs, Tresham College, Youth Inspired, BAKUP CIC, NGAGE and the emergency services.
Young people bring fresh perspectives, energy and passion to community development. The Youth Summit is proof that when we empower them to take the lead, they create opportunities not just for themselves but for the whole of North Northamptonshire. The Youth Summit is a fantastic opportunity for young people in North Northamptonshire to showcase their talents and potential in positive ways. The dedication and creativity shown by those organising the Summit has been truly inspiring, and we hope this will be the first of many Youth Summits to come.
The Youth Summit will be open to all young people aged 11–19 (or up to 25 for those with SEND). All secondary schools and colleges across North Northamptonshire will be invited to attend, including Special Schools and Alternative Provisions.
