Children, young people and families will benefit from enhanced support and services as North Northamptonshire Council expands its Family Hub network into Corby.

The Best Start Family Hub network, opening in September, will build on services already provided by the council and local partners.

It will initially be delivered from Kingswood Children’s Centre, in Alberta Close, Corby, and a site at the Exeter Primary School in Brayford Avenue, Corby, with plans to expand the Family Hub network across Corby over the coming months.

Family Hubs are designed to ensure children, young people and families can access the right help, at the right time, from the right people. The expansion into Corby marks an important step in strengthening support for local communities and creating more opportunities for families to benefit from a wider network of services.

It will also promote a more joined-up way of working across services, making it easier for families to access the support they need within their local community and benefit from a broader range of provision in one place.

We are delighted to be expanding our Best Start Family Hub network into Corby. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the fantastic work already being delivered, while making it easier for families to access a wide range of support, services and activities. Our focus is on enhancing the support available to children, young people and families. By bringing services together through the Family Hub network, we can help ensure families receive the right support at the right time and continue to thrive within their communities.Cornelia Andrecut, North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Director of Children's Services

Families who already use services will continue to be kept informed as the new developments are introduced and as further opportunities become available.

There will be open days on Thursday 3 September, 9am-4.30pm at Kingswood Children’s Centre in Corby, and on Friday 4 September, 9am-1pm at Exeter Primary School in Corby, where visitors can help choose the name of the Hub's new mascot, share what services people would like to see, meet the information, advice and guidance team, and children can share their favourite toys, activities and ideas.
