Community groups, charities, parish and town councils, sports organisations and other eligible not-for-profit organisations are being encouraged to apply for a share of almost £895,000 through the new Magna Park Corby Development Impact Fund, launched by North Northamptonshire Council.

The grant scheme has been set up using developer contributions secured through Section 106 funds and is designed to support communities impacted by the major development on the outskirts of Corby. Magna Park covers approximately 80 hectares and is expected to create more than 7,000 jobs.

The scheme is now open for applications and is designed to support a wide range of revenue and capital projects that will deliver lasting benefits for local communities.

There is no maximum grant amount, and applications will be assessed through a competitive process, with final decisions made by a panel of councillors. Applications will be assessed against the fund’s objectives, to ensure the money is distributed fairly, and projects deliver the greatest benefit to communities impacted by the development.

Organisations eligible to apply include community groups, charities, voluntary organisations, parish and town councils, sports organisations and relevant council service areas.

Applications must be submitted by 13 November 2026, with successful applicants notified by the end of January 2027.

The Magna Park Corby Development Impact Fund represents a significant opportunity to invest directly in the communities most affected by this major development.

We want to see ambitious and innovative projects that enhance community facilities, improve public spaces, support environmental initiatives and create lasting benefits for local residents.

This funding demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that growth delivers positive outcomes for our communities. I would encourage all eligible organisations with projects that can make a real difference locally to explore the fund and apply.
Cllr Jan O’Hara, North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Member for Planning and Economic Growth
This is a huge grant scheme for communities across Corby and the wider area impacted by the development.

This is showing our corporate plan in action on so many levels with Magna Park bringing growth and jobs to the area, whilst the grant scheme provides benefits for local projects.
Cllr Martin Griffiths, Leader of the Council
