Capital Grants of up to £25,000 now available for business growth

Using funding from the Rural England Prosperity Fund and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, North Northamptonshire Council has launched two business capital grant schemes.

Until 8am on Monday 23 June, the Rural Business Grant Scheme and the Business Growth Scheme are both accepting applications for capital grants of between £5,000 and £25,000.

The grants are designed to help micro and small business become more resilient and support growth. All projects must be delivered and spend claimed by 31 January 2026.

The grants are aimed at:

  • micro and small sized businesses located within North Northamptonshire (must have fewer than 49 employees)
  • business must have been trading for at least 12 months at the application closure date
  • businesses can only receive one grant per financial year
  • businesses are required to provide a minimum of 50% match funding
