The Book of Remembrance

The Book of Remembrance is a permanent memorial in which messages are entered by hand using qualified calligraphers. The books are made of the finest sheepskin parchment and bound in natural calf vellum richly tooled in gold.

Entries are normally made under the date of death; however they can be entered on any day such as birthdays or special anniversaries. The books are opened to the page that corresponds to that day.

The Books are ed within the Chapel of Remembrance which is open to the public every day of the year.

The Books can be viewed as online for family and friends who cannot visit the Crematorium.

The books are sent to be updated twice a year after they have come off display, so there may be some time between placing the order and the entry being made in the book.

The minimum entry is of two lines, and would consist of the name on the top line, with the date of birth etc. on the second line and such epitaph for which space is available.

With entries of five or more lines space is available to enhance the memorial by the inclusion of a Floral Emblem, Emblems of Societies/Organisations, Regimental Badges, Crests etc.
