Irchester Woodfest
Woodfest is back at Irchester Country Park!
Irchester Woodfest is a vibrant weekend set in the stunning woodland terrain of North Northamptonshire Council’s vast Irchester Country Park. The woody weekend is set to be a family-friendly outdoor celebration of nature, sustainability and craftmanship. Visitors can expect a variety of attractions including chainsaw artists, Blacksmith and willow weaving demonstrations.
There will also be:
- live music
- street food and drink
- woodworking, whittling and traditional skills
- nature, wellbeing, and woodland-themed activities
- handmade and artisan crafts
- upcycled and recycled treasures
Councillor Ken Harrington, Executive Member for Assets, Waste and Environmental Services, said: Woodfest will showcase the very best of Irchester Country Park where visitors can look forward to a weekend of discovery, entertainment and the great outdoors.
Events like this encourage people to connect with nature, support local makers and spend quality time together in a stunning outdoor setting. We hope residents and visitors alike will join us this August for what promises to be a fantastic event.
Event date and time
Saturday 15 August 2026 and Sunday 16 August 2026.
Woodfest events will run between 10am and 5pm, with music continuing to 7pm.
Plan your visit
There is no admission fee to Woodfest and no booking is required. Visitors should note that some activities may be chargeable.
You are very welcome to bring your own picnic. Remember, we do not allow BBQs or any kind of fire in our parks, and please take all your rubbish home with you.
If you need to rest, you can bring a chair with you. Please be mindful not to position yourself in the middle of the action though.
Overnight camping is not allowed.
Parking
We will open all overflow parking meadows - as far as ground conditions allow - on the day. The usual parking fee of £3.50 for 12 hours will apply. Car parking charges apply to all vehicles, including blue badge holders.

The X46 Rushden - Northampton bus service stops right outside the park’s main entrance.

The park will be open as usual to all visitors.
