Register a food business

Approved premises

Certain food businesses need approval before starting. These include any premises producing products of animal origin (e.g. meat, dairy, egg or fish product plants) and supplying them to another food business.

The premises are approved under:

• Regulation EC No 852/2004
• Regulation EC No 853/2004
• Regulation EC No 854/2004

Food premises approved under these regulations must meet additional requirements as they usually involve more high risk operations.

We will automatically work with businesses that need approval when they initially register.
