North Northamptonshire Council is currently made up of 78 councillors:

  • Conservative Group - 50
  • Labour Group - 16
  • Green Alliance Group - 3 (made up of 3 Green Party members)
  • Reform UK - 4
  • There are also three unaligned independents and two vacant seats on the council.

This election will use new constituency boundaries (after they were redrawn in 2023 to reflect population changes and to try to even out voter numbers in each area).

As a result of the changes, there will now be 68 councillors on North Northamptonshire Council.

Thursday 1 May local elections

  • There will be 31 new wards with new names and boundaries
  • Returning Officer - Adele Wylie, Chief Executive of North Northamptonshire Council
  • Estimated declaration time - From mid-afternoon (difficult to predict due to the new wards and boundaries)
