Dog attacks

Although dog-on-dog attacks are a civil matter, we can provide guidance once a report has been made and we assess attacks on a case-by-case basis. We will sometimes give advice to the owners of all dogs involved in the attack.

Depending on the circumstances of the case, we may investigate and take action under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act, 2014.

The Police should be contacted concerning dangerous or banned dogs. Where a dog has harmed or threatened to harm a human, or is dangerously out of control in a public place, you should report this to the police on 101.

Report it by selecting your local area:

If your area isn't listed, you may be a resident of West Northamptonshire.
